:: Intermediate Tips ::No More Short Putts

No More Short Putts
by Johnathan Yarwood

If your putt is short or negatively dribbled to the hole it has little or no chance of going in. Here is a great drill to get more aggressive and create a better roll on your putts that helps the ball stay on line. On putts of three or four metres, lay a club down infront of the hole. Try and hit the ball hard enough to get over the club and into the hole. For longer putts put the club behind the hole and try and make sure any putt that you did not hole finishes between the club and the hole. A simple and effective drill that can really improve your putting and lead to lower scores!
